What are you really scared?

What are you scared of?

What are you really scared of? A powerful question, and I’m not talking about spiders and heights.

I began my self-development journey by always focusing on the positives. While it’s wonderful to make positives the focal point and feel gratitude, denying the negatives pushes away (or down) the fears instead of exploring them. And I know that was true for me.

Examining your fears can more easily define your purpose and who you truly want to be. Then, you can start operating your business in a way that is truly in alignment with that. By understanding the fear that is holding you stuck, you can work through it. I use the word “THROUGH” rather than “PAST” because when your only goal is to get past something, it usually pushes that thing down or away (again).

When you work through fear, you allow yourself to acknowledge and examine it, enabling you to let go of old stories, limiting beliefs, and feelings that keep you from reaching the next level.

I’m willing to bet that there have been times when you’ve had amazing ideas or lightbulb moments that have provided clarity for your next steps. It’s an exciting feeling. But then you start doubting yourself, which causes you to push the excitement down and prevents you from exploring this idea. Perhaps it comes down to worrying about money, time, or your own ability—or just being scared! Sound familiar?

So often, fear of changing and growing holds us stuck in our comfort zone, which isn’t all that comfortable.

We are all guilty of letting fear win

I’ve heard clients and friends tell me about their fears. I know early on in the conversation that what they fear hasn’t happened yet and may not. They literally fear something in the future, creating more fear for something that probably, most likely, won’t happen. Are you doing this, too?

When you allow yourself to open the channel and work through the fear, miraculous things happen. You open the door to all that is possible.

What are you retracting from (scared of)?

This is another fabulous question. Sometimes it’s easier to see what you’re retracting from than to recognise the fear behind it. You may retract and withdraw. Your targets, goals and desires remain out of reach, because you’re focusing hard on the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

Instead of exploring fear, you do more or lower your expectations; you change the goal. You might do both. But it doesn’t have to be like this, and for me, the opposite of fear is freedom.

Freedom is when you believe anything is possible and focus on the outcome rather than the how, when you believe in miracles and expect them to land for you.

Want to explore the fears holding you stuck so you can move through them and into your new reality? Want to find your freedom and discover your path to a six-figure business or more? If you answer yes to one or both of these questions, I warmly invite you to book a Business Clarity Coaching Call, and you can do that here.
