Twenty-twenty-one can BE all you desire if you decide to be so. You might right now be laughing hard as you read this after the year we’ve just experienced. Let’s face it 2020 was not what we expected or wanted, yet I’ve personally grown and had one of my best years ever.
How, you might wonder. Well, firstly, because I stayed focused on the end game and concentrated on what I could control. I know exactly what I shall do to make twenty-twenty-one awesome, and I’m making that decision right here and now.
What do you desire for twenty twenty-one?
Making the decision and setting the intention is half the battle, well all of it really and it doesn’t have to be a battle. I for one have decided it will be easy and have complete faith that this is possible for me. I trust that what I think and believe to be possible for me can happen, I can make it happen. What about you, how do you feel about 2021?
If you’re trying to second-guess what the year ahead will look like right now, I urge you to stop. Since we’ve no idea how the COVID virus will respond to vaccinations or what our government and worldwide leaders will do, there’s no point. Instead, I encourage you to focus on what you do control, and that is you.
Step one for an awesome year, and exactly what I shall be doing in the coming weeks, is realigning myself with my ten-year plan. I’ll check to ensure it’s big enough, inspirational enough, and all that I truly desire. It sounds crazy, perhaps, but why shouldn’t I dream BIT, and more importantly, why shouldn’t you?
Looking ten years into the future should always be done without ifs, buts, or maybes. There should be no worrying about how. It is just YOU dreaming about your business’s potential and what would be super awesome to achieve.
Looking into the future creates a focus on the short term.
From this place, you can more easily decide what a fantastic 2021 looks and feels like. Create a blueprint for that success and determine how you’ll implement it, meaning you’ll have something to focus on no matter what the year throws at you.
A year, you will be totally connected to and, therefore, far easier for you to stay in control of. Plus (and this is huge) a plan you can and will implement because by connecting it with your ten-year vision, you will NOT overestimate what can be delivered. Remember, by doing less, you can revive more clients, money, and time.
Finally in the words of Bill Gates, “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years”
