Act to create and experience momentum

Act to create and experience momentum

Act to experience momentum, which is what taking action does; it creates movement and opens up possibilities.

I bet you have made a decision at some point (even recently) and then NOT acted. Shied away from taking the first step, scared to throw yourself in and perhaps deciding instead you are not ready. Not ready and need to research some more, wait a little longer and even do it later. And when I say later, you’ve pushed out this action, project or idea to the next quarter or year.

The problem with not acting is you stay stuck. You waste energy and valuable headspace trying to make a decision. And swing back and forth between believing it is a fantastic idea and not the right thing to do.

You might search for the answer or permission on Facebook, Google, and YouTube. Ask everyone and anyone, including your dog, cat or any other pet that will listen. Even if you’ve pushed the action out in your schedule when it’s time, there’s still a chance you’ll give yourself permission to explore more. Perhaps sign up for another free webinar course, or invest in more training. Anything that means you don’t have to act.

Momentum comes from the action you DO take.

By taking action, you are opening yourself and the business to opportunities. You are saying to the Universe, yes, I want this. Then no matter what happens, the expected, unexpected and surprising – you WILL start to appreciate momentum in your business.

The momentum that results in solutions arriving from places you could never have imagined, the help and support you need arrive. Plus, new ideas and ways of executing the plan come with far greater ease, without the struggle.

When you take the first step, commit to the plan, action or project, you are saying to the mind monkeys, ‘let’s do this anyway’. You are recognising the limiting beliefs that are stopping you and will start to move through them.

Then suddenly, you are saying NO to anything that doesn’t further the business or bring your success closer. As a result, you will start turning your back on activities that keep you time-poor.

Allow opportunities to manifest

I’ve already mentioned how when you act, the opportunities appear from nowhere without pushing or trying – they manifest FOR you —leading to the right people arriving, perhaps a business coach, marketing expert, or VA. Suddenly precisely what you need lands in your inbox. Or your phone rings and a potential client asks if you can help, and you NOW have exactly what they need because you committed to the idea.

No word of a lie. I’ve plotted offers in a notepad, committed to the idea and then been asked for precisely what I’ve written down. Designing and committing to the offer delivered clients that were a perfect match, and I once made a sale within hours of getting excited about the offer I’d planned out.

By committing to and taking action, you more easily move away from anything you are NO longer aligned with. Creating time and space for the opportunities to arrive, and you in the perfect place to say YES and claim them.

And you won’t know until you try and act.

So, make the decision and act, schedule the work, commit to the project – and make it happen.

However, I know that excitement can wane, and stuff can get in the way. Events happen outside of our control, whether you are a solopreneur or have a virtual team, bricks and mortar, or staff. It can feel as if you are fire-fighting, paddling like a wild thing to keep your head above water and a to-do list as long as your leg (yes, I meant to type leg).

Working with solopreneurs and multiple six-figure business owners, I can tell you the struggle is real. No matter where you are on your journey or the size of your business, while the challenges may differ, all entrepreneurs have ‘stuff’ to deal with and curve balls to hit back. And life stuff coming at them from all angles… kids, pets, elderly relatives to care for, the car breaking down, and a yoga class to join. Not forgetting the broader issues of the world that can impact our wellbeing.

So, how can you start experiencing momentum?

It comes from clarity of your why or purpose, knowing where you want to be and how you’ll get there. Then being the CEO of your future wildly successful business and committing to the action Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

Well, it could be. With clarity, a strategy you want to implement, meaning you commit and focus your attention where it’s needed, and acting!

So, what is stopping you? And if you’re saying time. Please dig deeper. What is it that you are terrified of, and be honest about where you are focusing your time right now?
